How busy are drop nights? Do you have any advice so I don't miss out on a specific item?
Some helpful tips:
-Create an account this makes checkout much quicker
-There is not a cart hold, so items can disappear from your cart if someone checks out faster than you
-Most items are very limited, so only limited quantities available.
-Make sure you have selected the correct size/item and shipping method. Orders can not be changed once they are placed. If you made a mistake you need changed, your order will be cancelled and you can re-order the correct size/colour/style. We simply are not able to accommodate all the changes. Please review your order carefully before checking out.
How does your shipping work?
We are no longer offering a local pick-up option, as far too many people pick this method by accident. We sometimes have to send out 10-15 emails for customers who mistakenly selected local-pick-up. This impacts out packing process greatly and we are trying to keep our processing time as quick as possible for you guys! If you are local and would like to collect your parcel, please check out and leave a note to seller that you would like to pick-up. We will happily refund shipping charges and email to arrange a pick-up time.
Standard $5.00 (letter mail) shipping is NOT tracked or insured, so there is no insurance for replacement if your order does not arrive to you and we are not able to track your package. This is economy shipping and items will likely be vacuum-sealed. If sent lettermail, most orders with multiple items may ship in separate packages. If you prefer your items in one package, please select the “tracked” option at checkout. Tracked and insured shipping includes up to $100 insurance. If you would like your insurance to cover your entire order (if over $100) please email us and we can invoice the small fee so your entire order is covered, and you can have piece of mind.
International orders do not include tracking or insurance. If you would like to add this, please ask for a quote prior to placing your order.
If an order does not arrive, it is not the responsibility of Nest and Nurture to replace the order. We recommend choosing tracked and insured shipping. If your package is lost/damaged, you will be able to start a claim with Canada Post.
Can I combine shipping?
If you recently placed and order, but would like to add on an item (same day only) please go ahead and order your additional item (we don't want you to miss out!) Please send us an email with your order numbers (please do not message us on social media for this). We will refund any additional shipping. Due to order volume, this does not happen automatically. You must email with order numbers. Thank you.
Where is the clothing made?
All of our items are made in small batches by talented seamstresses in the Okanagan Valley. This is our way of supporting our local economy.
What is your return and exchange policy?
We offer complimentary repairs to workmanship defects. Please email us if you have any concerns at all at email@example.com
Returns will be considered on an individual basis. Please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your concern and we will be happy to help. Return shipping cost is customer's responsibility. Tracked and insured shipping is highly recommended, as lost packages are not the responsibility of Nest and Nurture. Returns must be within 30 days of purchase and item must be in new condition with original tag attached, free of odour and stains.
Exchanges are always welcome if the items are in new condition with tags. Buyer pays shipping both ways. Often items sell out quickly, so an exchange may be for a similar item of your choosing with equal value or shop credit. Please email us to discuss. Once exchange item is returned and inspected, we will issue a shop credit for amount paid for item excluding shipping.
Please make sure to measure your child to ensure the item will fit correctly. Handmade sizing can vary from store-bought clothing. It is worth checking to save the heartbreak of an item not fitting. All custom orders are final sale.
What are your items made from?
We are lovers of new, vintage, modern, and reclaimed fabrics. We like it all! If you have a particular interest or requirement, please ask!
Vintage Fabrics: Most of our soft vintage prints are from vintage sheets. Exact fibre content is unknown, but majority are cotton. Most vintage fabrics require gentle care, we always recommend hand wash or machine wash gentle. Lighter colours are often somewhat sheer, due to the age/wear of the fabric. Some of these fabrics are 40-60years old, so minor imperfections are standard and expected.
Peppered Cotton: One of our very favourite fabrics, our 100% cotton peppered cottons are extremely soft. They are brushed, so have a slightly fuzzy appearance, which increases with washing.
100% Cotton: Most of our items are made from a high quality 100% cotton. This type of cotton becomes softer and softer with every single wash, while still maintaining structure and body. Lighter colours, such as Coconut, may be slightly sheer.
Linen Blends: Our linens are typically 55% linen, 45% rayon, to increase softness and washability, while still maintaining a durable and breathable garment. Linen items will wrinkle more than any other fabrics we carry, so we highly recommend a quick press with a steam iron if you prefer a crisp look.
Washing: Handmade items should be respected and well cared for to increase the longevity of the item. We recommend a gentle wash in cold (hand wash or gentle wash in laundry bag) for best results. Smoothing with your hands prior to line/hang drying helps decrease the need for ironing. Once dry, a quick tumble in the dryer and/or a press with a steam iron will help reduce wrinkling.
I wanted to buy an item, but the size I wanted has sold. Can I order one anyway?
Most of our items are made in small batches, meaning we only have a limited amount of fabric. You can always ask, but typically once an item is gone, it is gone forever. It is recommended to keep up to date with us via newsletter (on website) Instagram and Facebook.
